Assets
Record the equipment you install or look after for a contact, keep a log of work on it, set service reminders, and transfer it to a new owner.
An asset is a piece of equipment you've installed or look after for a contact, such as a heat pump, a hot water cylinder or an alarm panel. Recording it keeps its make, model and serial number to hand, with a log of the work done on it and reminders for when it's next due.
Adding and changing assets, logs and reminders needs Contacts: Edit.
Add an asset
Open the contact, select the Assets tab, then Add asset. Fill in:
| Field | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Title | What the asset is, such as Lounge heat pump. |
| Condition | Its current condition. |
| Make, Model, Serial number | So you can identify it and order parts. |
| Installed date | When it was installed. |
The asset appears on the Assets tab with its make, model and serial number.

The asset moves to the new owner's Assets tab, and the number of previous owners goes up by one.
